Urban sound artist and planning researcher Caroline Claus will present Sonic Drift CDA , an art-driven experiment in AI-based Sonic Geographic Dérivé as part of her S+T+ARTS ReSilence Residency.
In this talk, the artist will present her experiences and ideas on combining sound ethnography and AI technologies to study the effective sound environment of a mixed neighborhood block in Brussels North.
Nefeli Georgakopoulou, Paraskevi Kritopoulou, and Georgios Loupas from CERTH, will present a detailed overview of the models and algorithms being employed for human voice control in audio recording, source classification, and audio emotion recognition.
Following the two presentations, we invite you for a listening and reporting session exploring audio emotion recognition methodologies. A discussion on the implications of this approach and a work session preparing for a sound space analysis of the urban architectural complex of the public library will be included.
